Reservations & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

This policy applies to reservations made with Agroturismo Son Boronat SL, CIF B72740814 (Camí de Son Boronat 33, 07184 Calvià, Illes Balears, Spain; hello@hotelsonboronat.com; +34 601 988 333). For weddings and retreats, this policy is supplemented by the specific signed Venue Booking Agreement, which prevails in case of any conflict.

Our main season runs from April to October. Selected dates outside the main season, including winter weddings and events, may be available on request.

1. Making a reservation

Room reservations can be made through our website's booking system or by contacting us directly. A reservation is confirmed only once you receive a written confirmation from us and any required deposit has been processed. By confirming a reservation you accept this policy.

All rates are quoted in euros. Applicable Spanish VAT (IVA) is included or added as indicated at the time of booking.

2. Sustainable Tourism Tax (ecotasa)

Stays in the Balearic Islands are subject to the Sustainable Tourism Tax (Impuesto sobre Estancias Turísticas / "ecotasa"), charged per person and per night according to the rates set by the Govern de les Illes Balears. This tax is not included in the room rate and is payable at the property unless stated otherwise.

3. Check-in and check-out

Your check-in and check-out times are confirmed in your booking confirmation and may vary by booking and season. Early check-in and late check-out are not available.

4. Payment, deposits, and card on file

The deposit and balance terms that apply to your booking are shown to you before your reservation is confirmed, and for events they are set out in your booking agreement or confirmation. All amounts are quoted in euros, and we accept the payment methods indicated during the booking process. Payments are processed securely through our booking platform and bank card terminal.

To guarantee a reservation, we may take a deposit and may store and pre-authorize the payment card provided. At check-in, you may be asked to provide a payment card and to sign a card authorization for incidentals. You authorize us to charge that card for any outstanding balance, agreed extras, incidentals, honesty-bar consumption, and any loss or damage to the property or its contents, in line with the authorization you sign. Where a charge relates to damage or loss, we will tell you the reason and amount.

5. Identification and traveler registration

Spanish law requires accommodation providers to register their guests. On arrival, each guest must present a valid identity document (national ID, NIE, or passport), which we record and report to the competent authorities through the official registration system, together with the required stay and payment details, in accordance with Royal Decree 933/2021. This is a legal obligation, and we cannot complete check-in without it. We handle this data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Cancellation and modification

Cancellation and modification terms depend on the type of booking and on the rate or package you select. The specific terms that apply to your reservation, including any deposit, refund conditions, and cancellation deadlines, are always presented to you clearly before your booking is confirmed, and they form part of your booking contract.

  • Hotel room stays. The cancellation and modification conditions for your stay, including any free-cancellation period, applicable charges for late cancellation, and no-show charges, are those shown at the time of booking. Some promotional or non-refundable rates may carry stricter conditions, which are always indicated before you confirm.

  • Weddings and retreats. These bookings have their own cancellation terms, which differ from hotel room stays and are set out in the relevant signed Venue Booking Agreement (see section 7).

Because our rates, packages, and conditions are reviewed from time to time, the terms applicable to a confirmed booking are those that were presented and accepted at the time that booking was made, and any later change does not affect bookings already confirmed.

7. Events

Events at Son Boronat, including weddings, retreats, day retreats, private celebrations, birthday parties, and venue rentals, follow a separate process and are governed by the terms of a dedicated booking agreement or written booking confirmation for that event (for weddings and retreats, the relevant Venue Booking Agreement). Those terms set out the full conditions for your event, including the payment schedule, any refundable damage deposit, and the cancellation conditions, all of which differ from those for individual hotel room stays. These details are provided and agreed in writing before any commitment is made.

8. Right of withdrawal

Reservations for accommodation, catering, and event services on specific dates are exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 103(l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. Cancellations are governed by this policy and the applicable agreement.

9. Your stay, house rules, and damages

Guests are asked to respect the property, its gardens, and other guests, and to observe our house rules, including any policies on pets, events, smoking, pool use, and quiet hours, which are shared at or before check-in and displayed at the property. The number of overnight guests may not exceed the number confirmed in your booking without our agreement.

Son Boronat is a historic property, lovingly maintained. Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to the rooms, furnishings, or grounds beyond normal use, and any such loss or damage may be charged in line with this policy, your card authorization, or, for events, the relevant signed agreement.

10. Liability and force majeure

To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the price paid for the affected service, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We are not responsible for failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, fire, flood, strikes, failures of utilities, acts of public authorities, or emergencies. Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including consumers' mandatory rights.

11. Complaints

If anything is not to your satisfaction, please tell us during your stay so we can put it right. Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamación) are available at the property on request, and the consumer dispute resolution options in our Legal Notice are available to you.

12. Governing law

This policy is governed by Spanish law, with the jurisdiction and consumer rights set out in our Legal Notice.
